The Colonnade Club at the University of Virginia was founded in 1907 and is housed in Pavilion VII, the oldest building on the Lawn and the only pavilion that is not a faculty residence. Garden VII, just behind the Pavilion, lends itself beautifully to weddings and events of all types. Jenna and Mark held their wedding and reception at this lovely location last Friday (08-08-08) and it was fantastic! Using the pavilion and it’s massive back porch as the backdrop for their ceremony, their guests sat comfortably under the trees and enjoyed the sincere but light-hearted ceremony that Mark and Jenna created with me.
