Robyn & Mickey’s sweet, small wedding, with just their closest family and friends in attendance was held just a few weeks ago at Farmington Country Club.  Their day was  photographed by Tom Daly and today I’m sharing Tom’s preview collage from their event.  Tom always makes it so easy for me to give you a glimpse of a wedding like this one because he’s so great at putting together a nice selection of images to share… thanks, Tom!

After their ceremony, which was held under the shade of some big trees right at the edge of the golf course, friends and family gathered in The Jefferson Room (one of my absolute favorite spaces in all of Charlottesville) for cocktails and dinner. It was a happy day and my privilege to play a small part.  Congratulations to Mickey & Robyn and thanks so much to Tom Daly for the great pics!

Today I”m happy to welcome photographer Natalie Bell of Natalie Bell Photography to the blog. Afton Mountain Vineyards hosted their first wedding today! Eric & Frances exchanged vows at the beautiful ceremony site that Elizabeth and Tony Smith created at the Vineyard specifically for weddings. With the long rows of grape vines and the Blue Ridge mountains as a backdrop about 20 of the bride & groom’s family enjoyed a relaxing time sipping wine, snapping photos and after the ceremony enjoying a special meal catered by The Shebeen. In every direction you look the scenery at Afton Mountain Vineyards is absolutely beautiful… I’m sure the wine is fabulous too, but I’m afraid I can’t report on that today!

Today I am happy to have Jason & Tammy Keefer of Jason Keefer Photography back on the blog, we haven’t seen a wedding of theirs since their Best of 2009 posts last winter.

This sweet couple, Mandy & Scott had their ceremony at the historic University of Virginia Chapel and then, as you will see tomorrow, headed on out to Veritas Vineyards for their reception.  I love how Jason and Tammy, along with their excellent assistant (and my former bride ) Rae Czekanski, shot the bride & groom’s parallel getting-ready and waiting experiences… one of the wonderful features of having a team of talented photographers shooting a wedding.  The photos of the bride and her girls walking across the street together is one of my absolute favorites… enjoy!

Amy & Brian chose to have their small wedding at a sweet little French restaurant just off the downtown mall on 3rd St., NE, called Fleurie. I’d heard good things about Fleurie beforehand but had never actually been inside. Well, it turned out to be just the perfect little venue for Brian and Amy’s day and today I’m pleased to be able to share a selection of photos by Elisa Bricker of Elisa B Photography.  I love all the soft colors and textures of Elisa’s photos…. enjoy!

Although I haven’t had the opportunity to see Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables (in Waynesboro) in person yet these photos make me want to head on over there (I looooove horses!).  Nikki Nargi who, along with her talented chef-husband Craig, have developed this amazing venue sent me this handful of photos by Michael Mancini of Michael Mancini Photography of a recent wedding there. On Tuesday night about a hundred local wedding and event professionals gathered at Keswick Vineyards to celebrate the launch of their beautiful new event space. Thanks to Melissa Burr, their Special Events Manager, who has been working tirelessly over the last couple of months, Keswick Vineyards will now be hosting lots of weddings and other events under their beautiful big tent. The photos below were taken by Tom Daly of Tom Daly Photography to give you just a glimpse of this beautiful venue.

Today I’m happy to share more beautiful images from Eric Kelley Photography of Yuri and Erin’s windy Veritas Vineyard wedding… if you check out about the 5th photo down you’ll get just a taste of the incredible wind that day. At one point during the ceremony Erin’s beautiful veil was getting so blown around that her Maid of Honor had to actually hang on to it throughout the rest of the ceremony… but nothing could detract from Yuri and Erin’s incredible happiness at getting married to each other!  Thanks Eric for your great work and another big Congratulations to Yuri & Erin!

When I met Yuri and Erin last autumn to talk about their wedding I loved them right away and was so excited to work on their ceremony with them and be a part of their big day. Their wonderful photographer (and new father )Eric Kelley did a fabulous job with their photos and today I’m starting out by sharing a selection of the details of Erin and Yuri’s Veritas Vineyard wedding.  Erin chose a very simple green and white color combination which, as you will see, was a splendid choice with the already-lush green backdrop of the vineyards and mountains in the distance.  Very simple & elegant… enjoy!
