Ok, I know I’m really late with this… but I have a good excuse… I have been on a ship for the last 3 weeks traveling thought the Caribbean, West Indies and Amazon and I definitely got a little behind with a few things here in the ‘Ville!

But seriously… when I got home I couldn’t wait to see the Hook Weddings edition that came out last month and in particular because I knew that the interview I did with Editor Stephanie Marie Garcia about One Sweet Wedding, the fabulous new local wedding directory that my team and I launched in November, would be mentioned.  Many thanks to Stephanie for the very sweet little article on page 13!  We are working daily to be sure that One Sweet Wedding is a truly comprehensive resource for Central Virginia brides.

This edition is filled with wonderful photos and articles and I’m sure you can still find a copy around town… but if you don’t see it please go HERE and you can flip through a virtual edition!

Our last submission for the Best of 2010 Series is from Jennifer McBride of McBride Events. This lovely event incorporated the taste of a Philippine wedding, beautifully incorporating many of the traditional elements. I’m especially loving the lemon yellow and gray color combination that this couple chose… so unique! After a church ceremony the reception was held at the always-lovely Glenmore Country Club.

It is really safe to say that Taylor has one of the best smiles ever! Both Taylor and Rob and their collective bridal parties were as warm and sunny as the day.

They were married at the UVA Chapel and then had a classic white wedding at Keswick Hall. Taylor had a great sense of whimsy – we loved it when she donned the chunky necklace and cowboy boots after the ceremony. Truly when they departed we were sad to see them go!

A big welcome to the fabulous crew at Easton Events who helped make Kiki and Hunter’s wedding dreams come true in 2010.  We’re so happy to have you show off this beautiful wedding today! Here are a few words from Lynn:

Kiki, a fabulous artist who lives in Charlottesville inspired all of the printed material with her wonderful painting. Everything from the crinkle linens to the texture of the paper used in the invitation was inspired by Kiki’s canvas.

We used the “K&H” on the save the date, wedding program and late night snack! The family buried the Bourbon to bring them good weather..and their wish was certainly granted! On a beautiful evening in May the the wonderful Sperry tent glowed as the evening progressed. Right On rocked the evening and the dance floor was never empty. Kiki and Hunter are a fabulous couple and we loved every minute of planning their wedding!
